BEACHES

Whether you’re looking for relaxed, sandy beaches or adventurous, rocky coasts, Karpathos will not disappoint you. The island is famous for its crystal-clear emerald waters and unspoiled terrain that make it the ultimate destination for beach lovers.

VILLAGES

If there is one must-visit place on your trip to Karpathos Island it’s the colorful village of Olympos! This traditional Greek settlement will make you feel like you’re taking a trip back in time.

And that’s just the start when it comes to the villages of Karpathos. The traditional architecture of Menetes and renovated mansions of Aperi (two medieval villages close to Pigadia, the main port) are perfect introductions to the island’s colourful homes, often with balconies overlooking the Aegean.

Spoa, on the narrowest stretch of Karpathos, has amazing views to both the east and west and nearby are the whitewashed houses of Mesochori.

And finally, there’s Othos (at 500m up, the highest village on the island) where there are great views and a Folk Museum displaying a traditional Karpathian home.

SPORTS & ACTIVITIES

Hiking routes have been mapped out through different parts of the island offering trails that lead to old chapels, mountainous villages, secluded beaches, and hilltops with a great view of the sea.

Fans of watersports will surely appreciate the southern side of Karpathos, which transforms into a wind & kite surfing hub in the summer, while the island’s crystal clear waters  provide the ideal conditions for snorkeling and scuba diving trips. If you’re looking for a short escape to a green(er) heaven, embark on a boat tour to the uninhabited islet of Saria or one of the many secluded beaches on the island!

RESTAURANTS & BARS

Like most Greek islands, Karpathos takes pride in its flavourful cuisine. Alongside classics such as Greek salad – here topped with Feta cheese – or the fresh fish, the island is famous for the makarounes, a special kind of pasta which is mainly cooked with garlic, butter and cheese.  Olympos is one of the best places to go to experience such traditional Karpathian delicacies.

We can guide you to a variety of places around the island to try mouthwatering Greek mezedes and deliciously fresh Greek seafood! If you are looking for a taste of Italy or for a more exclusive dining experience, or even to finish off your night with music and  cocktails; we can also offer some suggestions for you to explore.

Pristine beaches, picture-postcard villages and delectable dishes are some of the elements that make Karpathos a must-visit destination
